Pick Up & Drop Off Information

With over 750 students arriving and departing each day, following our drop-off and pick-up procedures is essential to keeping everyone safe. We appreciate your cooperation in helping make arrival and dismissal smooth and efficient for all students and families.

Afternoon Pick-Up Please keep the following procedures in mind at the end of the school day: Students will not be released before 2:05 pm If you need to pick your student up before 2:05 pm, please come to the office — staff will provide you with a release slip to give to the teacher Please be on time for end-of-day pick-up; students who are not picked up promptly will be brought to the office while we contact their ride Bus students load at the front of the school; pick-up students are dismissed at the field — please go to the correct area to keep dismissal safe and orderly for everyone

Morning Drop-Off

Please follow these guidelines when dropping your student off in the morning:

  • Drop-off takes place along the curb by the field
  • Students must exit the vehicle on the curb side only
  • Use designated crosswalks when crossing the street
  • Do not stop in the middle of the street to let students out
  • The front of the school is reserved for buses only — please do not pull into this area for drop-off
  • After dropping off, turn left onto Sonoma Street to exit safely

Morning Supervision & Waiting Areas

We know many families enjoy a few minutes together before the school day begins. To keep all students safe and supervised, please follow these guidelines while waiting:

Where to Wait
The designated waiting area for families is the gazebo by the MPR. This is a safe, supervised space for students and parents to gather before school starts.

Please Note:

  • Do not wait in front of classrooms — there is no staff supervision in this area, and students should not be there even when accompanied by a parent
  • The cafeteria is for students only — with over 700 students eating breakfast each morning, there is not enough space to accommodate waiting parents safely

While on campus in the morning, we ask that all parents model positive behavior for our students. If you observe an issue that needs attention, please notify a staff member on duty so it can be addressed appropriately. Thank you for helping us create a respectful and welcoming environment every morning!
