School Dances
School dances are one of the fun after-school activities offered at Pomo Elementary, brought to life each year by our Pomo Parent Teacher Club. It's a celebration that students look forward to — and one they help create themselves!
When Is the Dance?
Pomo Elementary typically holds one school dance per year, usually in May. The theme is chosen by students — members of the Student Council vote on the theme, and students also play a hands-on role in decorating and helping organize the event. It's truly a student-driven celebration.
Check out our event calendar to stay up-to-date on school events including dances.
How Do Students Participate?
The dance is held after school hours. Students will need to be dropped off and picked up by a parent or guardian.
School activities are open to all students who are in good standing, meaning they are not currently suspended or absent from school on the day of the event.
Rules & Expectations
School dances are a school-sponsored activity, so all standard school rules apply throughout the event. Students are expected to conduct themselves the same way they would during the regular school day — with respect for themselves, their peers, and the staff and volunteers who make the event possible.
