Sports

While Pomo Elementary does not currently have school-sponsored sports teams that compete in a league or against other district schools, we are proud to offer a growing sports program through our after-school program. Our goal is to give every student the opportunity to be active, develop new skills, and experience the benefits of teamwork and healthy competition.

What Sports Are Available?

We currently offer the following sports throughout the school year:

• Winter & Spring - Track
• Fall (Upcoming) - We are excited to expand our offerings! Beginning next fall, we plan to offer flag football, soccer, and volleyball.

How Do Students Participate?

Any student interested in participating can sign up — just reach out to the teacher who is sponsoring the sport to get started.

Sports are offered through the after-school program, but enrollment in the after-school program is not required. Students who are not enrolled in the after-school program are welcome to participate. They would simply stay after school on the days their sport meets and need a parent or guardian to pick them up when the session is over.
