District Overview

Konocti Unified School District (KUSD) proudly serves the communities of Clearlake, Clearlake Oaks, Lower Lake, Spring Valley, and a portion of Cobb Mountain. Certainly one of the best things about Lake County is the "down home neighborliness" of those who live here—simply put, we take care of each other.

KUSD believes that the life-long relationships we create with our students and their families are one of our greatest strengths and achievements. We have structured our district to create four separate neighborhood elementary schools, with each school serving as the "hub" of its community. These schools provide not just education, but drama and music performances, art exhibits, athletic facilities and events, nutrition programs, and social and family activities. With the help of our neighborhood volunteers, we provide a more complete and stronger program than ever before.

Our Mission

To provide an equitable, transparent, and engaging partnership with parents, staff, and community, which supports our students' learning and success. We provide all students with high quality curriculum and staff to prepare them to succeed in a diverse and ever-changing society. We will promote a safe and nurturing environment to elicit student innovation, self-efficacy, and individuality.
