Board of Trustees
The Konocti Unified School District Board of Trustees is committed to providing quality education and supporting the success of every student in our community. Serving the City of Clearlake and the communities of Clearlake Oaks and Lower Lake in beautiful Lake County, California, our Board works collaboratively to establish policies, oversee district operations, and ensure fiscal responsibility while keeping student achievement at the forefront of all decisions.
Board Responsibilities
- Establishing district policies and procedures
- Adopting the annual budget and monitoring fiscal health
- Hiring and evaluating the Superintendent
- Approving curriculum and instructional programs
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Representing the community's values and priorities in educational decisions
- Setting goals and monitoring progress toward student achievement
Board Meetings
Regular Meeting Schedule
The Board of Trustees meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month unless otherwise indicated.
Meeting Materials
Board agendas and supporting documents are posted at least 72 hours before each regular meeting and are available on our website and at the district office.

- Closed Session: 5:30 PM
- Open Session: 6:15 PM
We encourage community members to attend Board meetings and participate in the democratic process. Members of the public may address the Board during designated public comment periods on both agenda and non-agenda items.
How to Participate
- Attend in person at the Carol McClung Conference Center
- Submit written comments to the Board (see contact information below)
- Request to be placed on the agenda by contacting the Superintendent's office at least one week prior to the meeting
