Becky Salato, Superintendent
As Superintendent of Konocti Unified School District, Becky Salato provides visionary leadership and strategic direction for the entire district. She oversees all aspects of district operations, ensuring that every student has access to high-quality education and that our schools foster environments where learning thrives. Becky works closely with the Board of Education, staff, families, and community partners to advance the district's mission and goals. Her focus includes curriculum development, budget management, policy implementation, and building strong relationships across the Lake County community.
Dan Janakes, Chief Business Officer
Dan Janakes serves as the Chief Business Officer, overseeing the financial health and operational efficiency of KUSD. He manages the district's budget, financial planning, purchasing, facilities, student nutrition, and business operations to ensure resources are allocated effectively and responsibly. Dan works to maximize every dollar for student benefit while maintaining fiscal accountability and transparency. His expertise ensures that our schools have the infrastructure, materials, and support services necessary to provide excellent educational opportunities.
Danielle Besgrove, Director of Human Resources
Danielle Besgrove leads the Human Resources department, focusing on recruiting, supporting, and retaining exceptional educators and staff members. She oversees all aspects of employee relations, professional development, credentialing, benefits administration, compliance with employment law, and transportation. Danielle is committed to building a positive workplace culture where every team member feels valued and supported. Her work ensures that KUSD attracts talented professionals who are passionate about serving our students and community.
Shellie Perry, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services
Shellie Perry serves as Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, leading the district's instructional programs and student support services. She oversees curriculum and instruction, assessment, special education, English learner programs, and professional learning for teachers. Shellie works directly with principals and teachers to implement evidence-based practices, monitor student achievement, and ensure that all students receive equitable access to rigorous, engaging learning experiences. Her leadership drives continuous improvement in teaching and learning across all KUSD schools.
