Pick Up & Drop Off Information
To ensure the safety of all students and maintain smooth traffic flow, please follow these important guidelines for dropping off and picking up your child at East Lake Elementary School.
Morning Drop Off
Location: Parent drop off is on High Valley Road in front of the Office.
Time: Do not drop children off at school before 8:00 AM. Supervision is not available before this time, and students must remain with a parent or guardian until 8:00 AM.
Procedure:
- Pull forward as far as possible in the drop-off lane
- Have your child ready to exit quickly and safely
- Students should exit on the curbside (passenger side) only
- Once your child is out safely, please pull forward and exit the area promptly to keep traffic moving
Afternoon Pick Up
Location: Parent pick up is on High Valley Road in front of the Office.
Procedure:
- Arrive at your designated pick-up time
- Pull forward as far as possible in the pick-up lane
- Wait for your child to come to your vehicle
- Students should enter on the curbside (passenger side) only
- Once your child is safely in the vehicle, please pull forward and exit the area promptly
End of Day Expectations
At the end of the school day, students should go home immediately unless they are staying at the request of their teacher or are enrolled in an after-school program. Students who are not picked up promptly should wait in a designated supervised area.
Important Reminders
- Please be patient and courteous during drop-off and pick-up times
- Follow all traffic signs and staff directions
- Never leave your vehicle unattended in the drop-off/pick-up lane
- Do not use your cell phone while driving in the pick-up/drop-off area
- Always watch for children crossing and follow the speed limit
