School Overview

East Lake Elementary School proudly serves the community of Clearlake Oaks in Lake County, California. Home of the Rockstars, our TK-7 school provides a nurturing and academically rigorous environment for approximately 200 students.

Our Mission

Our mission is to educate all students to proficiency and beyond in order to prepare them for success in higher education, careers, and responsible citizenship through:

School Goals & Academic Focus

At East Lake Elementary, we focus on reading literacy, academic achievement, social skills, and developing lifetime learners through a comprehensive approach that includes:

Response to Intervention (RtI) Program

All K-7 students participate in daily 45-minute sessions tailored to their needs—whether intervention support, English Language Development (ELD), or enrichment. Regular assessments guide placement in these 4-6 week cycles.

Progress Monitoring

We track student growth through state testing and district benchmarks, while school climate is measured through behavioral data and annual student and staff surveys.

Academic Support Services

Academic Counseling

Our full-time Academic Counselor provides social-emotional support, positive behavior programs, and individualized academic assistance to students who need extra help.

Healthy Start Program

We partner with families to provide resources and support for those facing challenges.

Curriculum & Instruction

East Lake Elementary uses Common Core State Standards board-adopted curriculum across all subjects. Our teachers use research-based strategies and differentiated instruction to meet each student's unique needs and ensure academic success.
