Who We Are

Obsidian Middle School is a growing community of learners, educators, and families united by a shared belief: that high expectations, genuine support, and a strong sense of belonging can transform a student's life. Our staff doesn't just teach — they invest. Every member of our team is committed to seeing every student succeed, and that commitment shapes everything we do, from the way we design instruction to the way we build relationships.

Our Approach

We know that academic success doesn't happen in isolation. That's why we've built a school culture grounded in restorative practices, which means we focus on repairing relationships, building accountability, and developing the social-emotional skills students need to thrive — in school and beyond.

Our fully integrated Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) ensures that no student falls through the cracks. By identifying needs early and delivering targeted, tiered interventions, we're able to meet students where they are and move them forward.

Beyond the Classroom

Learning at Obsidian doesn't stop when the bell rings. We offer an extensive enrichment program designed to spark curiosity, develop new skills, and give students the chance to explore their interests. For students who need extra academic support, after-school tutoring provides a structured, welcoming space to catch up, keep up, and get ahead.
