Academic Mentoring Program (AMP)
AMP pairs students with caring staff mentors who provide extra academic support and encouragement. Our mentors help students stay on track, build confidence, and celebrate successes.
Is AMP Right for My Child?
AMP helps students who:
- Need support with homework and assignments
- Struggle with organization or staying on track
- Would benefit from a positive connection with a caring adult
- Are doing okay but could do better with extra encouragement
What Does a Mentor Do?
Your child's mentor will:
- Check in with your child weekly
- Help monitor assignments and classwork
- Work with your child's teacher to provide support
- Celebrate your child's progress and wins
What Can I Expect?
- Weekly contact between your child and their mentor
- Regular updates on your child's progress
- Communication with you about how we can work together
- A positive, supportive relationship that helps your child thrive
