Nestled in Lake County on the shores of beautiful Clear Lake with stunning views of Mt. Konocti, Burns Valley Elementary serves over 500 students in grades K-6.

Our Story

Since 1934, Burns Valley has been the heart of our community's educational journey. Our campus proudly houses a historic bell that rings each year—marking the joyful beginning of a new school year and celebrating the accomplishments at its close.

As a true neighborhood school, many of our students live within walking distance, creating strong bonds between school, home, and community that span generations.

Personalized Learning

Our daily 45-minute RtI (Response to Intervention) sessions ensure every student receives targeted support, English Language Development, or enrichment based on their individual needs.

Academic Excellence

We use Common Core State Standards curriculum with research-based teaching strategies designed to reach all learners through differentiated instruction.

Student Support

Our full-time Academic Counselor works with at-risk students, providing social curriculum, school climate improvement, and academic support five days a week.

Our classrooms feature interactive whiteboards, upgraded Chromebooks, and new teacher computers to enhance 21st-century learning.
