LLES Principal

Welcome to Lower Lake Elementary School!

It is our pleasure to welcome you to Lower Lake Elementary for the 2025-2026 school year. The entire staff has been hard at work to ensure it will be a wonderful year for our students. We have exceptional teachers and an excellent educational program to offer you. We are firmly committed to preparing our students to live up to their potential while becoming productive citizens as adults.

The relationship between home and school is very important to the overall success of student education. I strongly encourage open communication between families, teachers and school administration. Your child will be bringing home a “weekly blue folder” every Tuesday. This folder will contain samples of your child’s work and information from the teachers and the office. Another practice we try to use consistently is publishing any notices from the office a couple of times a month. Any time you see colored paper, typically a half sheet, among your child’s papers, you’ll know it’s a message from the office. A weekly message from my office will be sent to your email. Please be sure that the office has your current email and phone contact information, so that you get the most up to date information.

We appreciate your willingness to share your time and expertise with us and we are always open to hearing your ideas for making our school a better place for our students to learn.

Working together we can ensure that every child will learn, be cared for, and will have an enjoyable school experience.  We look forward to an outstanding year.

About the Principal

Cook William

A life-long Californian, I grew up in San Jose, California. My father and grandfather were farmers and instilled in me an incredible work ethic at a young age. I moved with my wife after we were married to Sonoma County to set down roots and grow a family. I’ve lived in Sonoma County for 26 years with my wife and four children.

I have always been a champion for students. I believe our children are our greatest resource and need to have student supported leadership. I will promote success for all students, equity, school safety and responsible oversight of budgets. I lead to improve student inequities and make our schools nationally recognized destinations for students, parents and teachers.
