Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. As we transition into March, I wanted to take a moment to highlight an important observance: Women's History Month.

Throughout history, women have played pivotal roles in shaping our world, breaking barriers, and championing progress in various fields. Women's History Month is a time to celebrate their achievements, honor their contributions, and reflect on the ongoing journey towards gender equality.

Here at Lower Lake High School, we recognize the significance of empowering our students with knowledge about the remarkable women who have made a difference. From trailblazers in science, politics, literature, and beyond, their stories inspire us to dream big and strive for excellence.

During this month, our teachers will incorporate lessons and activities that highlight the accomplishments of women throughout history. We encourage you to join us in celebrating Women's History Month at home by discussing influential women with your children, exploring their achievements, and fostering conversations about gender equality.

Together, let's inspire our students to recognize the importance of diversity, equality, and inclusion, not just this month, but every day.

Thank you for your continued support in shaping our students into compassionate, informed, and empowered individuals.

The senior counselor will be out of the office for possibly the rest of the year.  Kelsy Wiley will be taking over the Seniors and Juniors until Tara comes back.

Vaping

Vaping

E-cigarettes are threatening to addict a new generation to nicotine. E-cigarette use among young people, many of whom were not smokers in the first place, has skyrocketed in recent years. Nearly 20% of high school students, one in five, use e-cigarettes, according to the National Youth Tobacco Survey. Young people who use e-cigarettes are also more likely to start smoking cigarettes than their peers who do not vape.
